Five (Sheep) from the Farm

This latest installment of Five from the Farm features 5 of the sheep living on our property.

This is Muffin (aka “Muffin Puffin”). She is probably the most gregarious of all the sheep we own. She acts more like a treat-motivated puppy than a sheep. She comes running when you call her name. She has one baby lamb ram named Colt. I think she may be Dennis’s favorite (but don’t tell any of the other sheep).
This beauty is Sophia. She has distinct stripes down her face and stately horns. She loves apples and doesn’t like carrots. She has twin lamb rams, Rocky and Toasty.

This handsome guy is Jasper. He’s almost 10 months old in this photo (and at the time of the post). He was the 1st lamb ram born from our flock. His mom is Daisy, and his twin sister is Jasmine. He also knows his name. I love the distinct spotted markings on his face. He’s one of the most unique sheep we have.

In my opinion, Naomi is the most elegant sheep of them all. She has a long neck and a wide-eyed stare. She is pretty timid, but loves stretching up on her hind legs to eat leaves from our oak trees. It’s kind of a silly sight. She has 2 lamb rams. Chavelo was born in November 2025 and Tommy who was born in May of 2026.

This cutie is Timmy (Tiny Tim). He’s about 5 weeks old in this photo and was born May 5, 2026. He is Daisy’s lamb ram and Jasmine and Jasper’s (photo #3 above) little brother. He and his twin sister, Tina, were the smallest lambs we’ve ever seen. Timmy was even smaller than Tina, but he’s feisty, healthy, and growing each day.
