Welcome to Deer Diary Country Life

After living in a big city (San Francisco) most of my entire childhood and all of my adult life, at 43 I moved with my husband to the country (only a little over 50 miles from SF but still…) and I am now surrounded by 10 acres of farm land, gorgeous rolling golden hills, and daily chance encounters with wildlife.

My life took a dramatic turn for the better and I started learning all about things I never imagined I’d learn about, tumbling compost bins, organic gardening, and learning to drive a riding lawnmower, to name only a few. 

Do I miss a lot about living in a big city? Yes but do I now know I’m having the best time of my life, yes!
